My goal in 2011 was to attend as many conferences as possible. I succeeded far beyond my wildest hopes. While the normal thing is for a person to hear about a conference months or even years in advance, I normally heard about conferences a few weeks or sometimes even days before they were to happen. Even so I managed to get into a lot of them!
